Our culture

We carry out some of the largest IT projects in Norway. No issues or solutions are alike. This requires that we see things from different viewpoints and utilize the power that lies in many bright minds working together. Therefore we always work in teams and across fields of expertise. Knowledge sharing is important in our culture. Whether your workplace is at the client's office or at our Lysaker office there are always colleagues you can ask, or who are eager to share their latest technological discovery.

A safe working environment, where you can challenge yourself with new tasks and responsibilities. There is always someone you can ask for help.

We often lead the projects ourselves, and of course, the client is part of the team. Close cooperation gives satisfied clients and long-term customer relationships, and provides the best results. These long-term customer relationships have also given us unique domain knowledge. Computas is 100% owned by the employees. All employees are given the opportunity to buy shares. You will too. This means that when one employee succeeds, we all succeed, giving extra motivation in our daily work.

Social activities

Sport teams, beer tasting and the weekly Friday chocolate treats are some of the social highlights outside working hours. Some of us are fit (or try to get there). That's why we participate in the Holmenkollstafetten, offer courses in skiing, kayaking and running technique, as well as play soccer, squash and volleyball. Some value common culture events higher, and join in when we go to the opera, a standup show or learn to cook together. Other times we take our families to the theater, on farm visits or go-kart driving.

A good social environment makes us thrive at work.

Sometimes we go to bed late, other times we fly to nice places abroad and have a professional and social weekend together. Places we have been to include Tallinn, Norefjell and Istanbul. In 2014 we went to Bucharest, where we recently opened an office.

We have a strong professional focus, our own career plans and focus on individual skills development. Sickness absence among our employees is very low, but nevertheless, we do have a good health insurance, should you need it. Did we mention our favorable cafeteria plan, our company cabins and culture program? As a new employee you will get a smooth start with our tried and tested introductory program.

The first week

Everyone who starts working for Computas participates in our introductory program. Here, you will meet many key employees in the company and get a good introduction to our history and how we work. The program includes everything from practical things, reflections on the consultant role and our values, ​​as well as a full-day course in Test Driven Development. Furthermore, you will also get to know our own framework, FrameSolutions.

Everyone gets a good introduction to what Computas is like. We also think it is important to get to know colleagues outside work hours, therefore, during the introductory days we host a "new employee dinner," where we invite the new employees, mentors, managers and other key personnel.

Are we perfect for each other?

A typical Computas employee wishes to use his or her expertise to make a difference. When the customers present large, complex issues you will want to be on the team that solves it. In other words, to fit in with us you must be technically competent, curious, sociable, creative, and share your expertise.
